Ghost Parameters (gameplayconfigfiles) — LM2

From Luigi's Mansion 2 Modding Wiki

This page lists all functions used in the CONFIG files in the gameplayconfigfiles folder and documents what they do for the ghosts and Luigi in-game. Note that the values set for the functions in these files are base values and do absolutely nothing when edited through a CONFIG file. They can be only changed if edited via a mission file.

Files

The twenty-five CONFIG files in gameplayconfigfiles contain the following functions in the table below.

Table of Functions

Functions Information
Mischief Chance To Wander The chance the enemy is given to move around, even when Luigi is looking at them. Supposedly, when set to 0, they wouldn't move whatsoever.
Mischief Chance To Prop Interact The chance the enemy is given to interact with the props around them, such as picking up dropped weapons. Another example of a prop interaction would be when a Greenie rips paper out of a drawer in Mission A-1: Poltergust 5000.
Mischief Chance To Taunt The chance the enemy is given to taunt the player. An example of a taunt would be when a Greenie laughs when Luigi's back is turned.
Inactive Escape Speed The time it takes for a stunned ghost to exit stasis. When set to 0, the player would supposedly have no time to capture the ghost in any capacity.
Tether Speed Change In Seemingly, nothing changes when this function's value is modified.
Tether Speed Change Out Seemingly, nothing changes when this function's value is modified.
Tether Forward Strafe Speed When this value is changed, Luigi will be pulled toward a ghost at the speed set. An example is, when you set this value to 0, Luigi won't move at all, but when set to 9.9, Luigi is pulled directly under a ghost's rotation anchor.
Tether Back Strafe Speed Luigi will be pushed away from a ghost when this value is changed at the speed set. An example is, when you set this value to 0, Luigi won't move at all, but when set to 9.9, Luigi is repelled far from a ghost's rotation anchor.

Files and their Functions

Boo.config

This Configuration Source File contains only 4 functions: Mischief Chance To Wander, Mischief Chance To Prop Interact, Mischief Chance To Taunt, and Inactive Escape Speed.

[TBA]

In this file, the function, Mischief Chance To Taunt, is set to 0, as the Boos are never seen taunting the player at all, unlike ghosts such as Greenies.
